Like Ernesto Che Guevara in the movie Motorcycle Diaries, this question came up in my mind as I rode my Triumph Thruxton 1200 through valleys, over mountain passes and through former customs stations in third gear on the hottest days of the year.
How will the world develop? How will Europe? How will our time develop? How will the economy change and how will I become who I could be?
Life is an outstanding ride on a motorcycle. Often a triumphal procession, sometimes a highway to hell. What is clear is that we get on the bike at birth and never return to the starting line.
In the blog series “Im Visier”, I report in stages on human elevations, social road damage, economic highways, technological developments, global political stunts, personal combinations of bends, encounters in leather and wonderful pit stops.
“Im Visier” is a reflection of a European summer from my perspective as a driver.
