The successful work of Volkshilfe is based on the commitment of its full-time and voluntary employees in the various health and social services. The film, Mei Lieba mei Leben, shows the diverse approaches, successes and setbacks of Volkshilfe employees, and also traces the history of the origins of Volkshilfe Vöcklabruck.

Müller’s film is characterized by regional colour as well as the skilfully integrated statements by artists (from Franzobel to film and theater actor Alexander Strobele (Schindler’s List). Volkshilfe President Josef Weidenholzer, volunteers, veterans and people in need of help also have their say.
