24 Feb Crowds on the horizon
The event “The Future Vision Horizon Steyr: Innovative Spaces for Ideas”, organized by Netzwerk Zukunftsregion Steyr and the City of Steyr, took place after a guided tour of the former prison with more than 180 visitors at the Altes Theater Steyr. People from a wide range of professional backgrounds took a look at the development of Berggasse 4. The interest was great, the atmosphere graceful, the response enormous.
What is looming on the horizon in Steyr is a grand vision that has already found its pioneers. On stage and in front of 180 people, the first tenants Manfred Haiberger(Haratech) and Christoph Jungwirth revealed themselves as the future “inmates” of the prison. They will rent space in Horizont Steyr with their companies and want to help shape the community and the innovation network. Other people have joined this pioneering spirit and signed letters of intent to become tenants of Berggasse 4.
The motto here is “new beginnings instead of break-outs”, and this spirit of optimism was exuded above all by Mayor Markus Vogl and Daniela Zeiner(TIC Steyr), who hosted this energetic event.
This was followed by discussions about perspectives, innovation, visions, hopes and synergies. Contacts and enthusiasm were shared. An evening that delivered more than was promised.
