Von Leopold Paur, court and court advocate in Vienna, was born in Altenburg in 1735. In 1784, he published the plan of his city vision.
The city in a dream is a bold vision of a city planned according to geometric principles. The clear, uncluttered design is reminiscent of some of the ideal plans from antiquity, the Renaissance or French revolutionary architecture.
