01 May Have the honor!
In Austria, May 1st has been an official public holiday since 1919. For me personally, today’s national holiday is the DAY OF NEW WORK. I am back with offers for a changing world.
After 4135 days, hundreds of guided tours and presentations, thousands of conversations and millions of thoughts about the former “Tschickbude”, yesterday marked the official end of a highly successful and deeply satisfying period of development work for Tabakfabrik in the steel and digital city of Linz.
Since announcing my deliberate retirement from the management board of Tabakfabrik Linz, I have been able to experience many positive things, gain inspiring customers, strengthen partnerships and generate fantastic new projects. I am grateful for this and feel humility, responsibility and the urge to move forward.
New work and eternal values
I would like to share this new era with you at www.chrismueller.at. This is where I report on my travels and research, visions and missions, the sustainable and the desirable, the digital and the humanistic.
Here I report on developments and projects at the interface of technology, society, urban development and the real estate industry. About new work and eternal values.
Developing Ecologies
You can use this website to book readings, lectures and workshops, arrange initial meetings or have learning journeys, events and casual formats in the field of innovation and education tailored to your needs. Suits coming soon too!
I will bring customers, clients and partners as well as joint projects into the spotlight here in their own broadcast formats. We will also communicate projects of CMb.industries GmbH, of which I am the managing partner, in a finely dosed manner.
Department of Disruptive Disciplines
There are still points of contact with me and my network at Tabakfabrik Linz. More precisely, in the legendary GRAND GARAGE, whose values and ecology I am already passionate about as an ambassador. The Department of Disruptive Disciplines, which we operate together with the DELTA Group, serves as our Upper Austrian headquarters.
Beyond Building
Together with our partners in the Delta Group, where I am able to contribute the services of a Chief Visionary Officer, we have a total of 370 experts at four international locations and can therefore offer the entire spectrum of analysis, design, consulting, general planning, construction management, architecture and communication. Together, we want to and will guide the (construction) world into a successful and sustainable future.
Moving Day
At the beginning of 1886, the North American labor movement called for a general strike to enforce the eight-hour day. Thirty years earlier, masses of workers in Australia demonstrated for the same demand on May Day. The powerful idea of well-paid work and better working conditions spilled over from the industrial regions of Australia and America across the pond to Europe, along with the associated demonstrations. In 1890, May Day was celebrated for the first time as a “day of protest and remembrance” with mass strikes and mass demonstrations all over the world.
In addition to this globally historic and socially relevant dimension, this May 1, 2023 is also my personal moving day!
As the founding director of the fabulous factory, thanks to the labor movement, I didn’t have to defend myself against bad conditions, but was able to demonstrate the profitable power of collaboration and creativity with my team.
I would like to thank those who have made these ten years possible and wish the factory all the best for the future. And thanks also to the team at CMb.industries and DELTA, who made the transition to a new life with me as smooth as butter.
Always become, never be!
Your Chris Müller
